Modern technology as a link between teacher and pupil
Within the framework of “KK Stiftelsens” project “Ung Kommunikation”, it is the Temagroup's basic vision to plan, carry out and evaluate how modern technology can function as a link between teachers and students.
Another aim is to tie the project to the Teacher programme at The University of Kalmar as one of the aims of “Ung Kommunikation” is to create possibilities for developing and improving the teacher programmes´ practical and theoretical courses.
There are three aspects of our project:
Student blog
- The blog works as a platform for students and teachers to evaluate the school work.
- Our goal is that the students will publish 2-3 comments per week. These comments has
- been used as a source for teacher trainees working with text analyses for certain courses.
Adult contacts on the net (MSN)
- In some cases the contacts with students via MSN have increased their motivation.
- To give the students assist with their homework to achieve an equal education.
- To meet the students on their individual 'home ground' have given us
teachers a wider and more balanced view of some students.
School TV
- To explore the pupils own forum.
- Using other forms of expression than the written word.
The project has been in progress for three terms. So far, we believe, the
scheme has been a success, regarding both the practical work with students
and the combined work with the University of Kalmar.
